Shmi Shmi Productions (SSP) is an independent media production company dedicated to creating original, impactful stories for a global audience. We believe storytelling is a fundamental part of social change. Our work isn’t just about entertainment—it’s about creating meaningful narratives that resonate, challenge, and inspire.
SSP specialises in producing original narrative and documentary content. By partnering with talented artists from around the world, we bring unique perspectives to life, fostering a diverse and dynamic storytelling community. We also recognise that the industry’s economy is changing, and therefore are committed to exploring alternative financing models including micro-budget productions, film co-operatives, and pay parity.
Our portfolio includes short films, commercials for social causes, and a theater production. We are currently in development on our two first features: a period drama based on the folk music of Kabir Das, and a surrealist fable about the traditions that fade away in modern life.
